my education
architectural past
You may not know this, but back in the polytechnic, I studied buildings and graduated with a Diploma in Architecture. Though I enjoyed studying architecture, my passions lay more in marketing and curating impactful campaigns that not only help connect people to solutions but also grow brands and engage audiences. That being said, much of what I learned in Architecture solidified my foundations towards skills such as design and critical thinking, conceptualisation and more. Hopefully, these foundations can be captured from the fruition of my Final Year Project; Equilibrium.

Equilibrium

This project, a co-working complex located along Cross street, sits between the bustling, thriving business hub and the leisurely, tranquil shophouses. There was a clear distinction between the hustling fast-paced city life and the dawdling slow recreational life.
With no apparent, transition between the two, an opportunity presented itself for the project to bring a smoother connection between both sides.
In the different sections and elevations, there is this element of different spaces coming together. The spaces are in contrast to one another, For example, a sense of comfort and a sense of productivity.
A place for light-heartedness and a place for intensity. This push and pull, having the spaces just next to each other brings out this connection within the contrast. Depicting the transition between slow and fast-paced lifestyles.
