Quest was started as an idea by 3 SMU undergraduates passionate about meeting the problems of rising gig workers with the lack of platforms supporting such functions. As such, they developed Quest: Hire a hero application to help offer and access each other’s areas of expertise at fair yet competitive rates.

 In the early stages of its development, I was engaged in designing the main icons for their Hero and Citizens Concepts. The brief for the icons was meant to set the tone of distinguishing the 2 sub groups.

 

My concept revolved around the idea of Clarke Kent and Superman where as a citizen, the glasses served as a secret identity and the mask served as a Hero alias. The idea where you can switch between being a hero and a citizen simultaneously with the switch of the glasses and mask.
